Reviewing Vinted

Where were you the day Depop died?

Well not necessarily died, but more so became ridiculously expensive and inaccessible that it lost its charm. Now it's a joke to be a "Depop girl" for good reason as those types of resellers take something bought from Salvation Army for $18 and add another zero onto the end. Ebay is always reliable, but it's not as curated as a resell platform catered specifically to your demographic. Most middle-aged men don't know what "coquette" means after all.  And heaven forbid you buy something from Poshmark.

Recently I had a friend recommend Vinted to me, which is essentially like these sorts of apps but on a far more personable platform that is all about sustainability. While there may not be designer brands as most sellers are just twenty something girls, there is a great variety of vintage clothes for FANTASTIC pricing. If you're a fan of underrated older brands like Rampage or City of Triangles, they are a mainstay on the app and are all below $40 even if made out of crushed velvet or silk. Plus, sellers are likely to reduce prices as incentive due to the reviewing system so there is no concern about authenticity.

Hopefully we can keep the secret of Vinted for longer, just till I flesh out my spring and summer wardrobe for this year. I'll update when my haul from the app arrives!
